During the class of U.S. Government the learning objectives are to learn the history of government and learning the changes it has gone through this is valuable to my future because I will be more informed of rights and Acts that we as U.S. citizens have. The project that I am submitting as an artifact for U.S Government had the following learning objectives take notes and what politicians do as a job and write the definition of some vocabulary words, these link back to the course learning objectives by giving us a deeper understanding of the history that we have had. The assignment was about the show The West Wing which shows the life of politicians and what they go through on a daily basis, this assignment required me to watch the show and answer some questions Mr. Tennant had given us. The process I went through to do this assignment and meet the learning objectives first started with me watching the show at home since I didn’t go to school the day he showed it to class, I had to watch to episodes to get what the shows was about, since the first time I watched it I missed the answer to some questions I had to rewind and watch it a second time, after I had finished answering the questions, I turned the assignment in the next day. Throughout this process listed above I have realized I have learned: that redoing something gives me a better understanding of the subject, it has also thought me that being a politician means you have to have understanding of various subjects not just the job you are working in. The school wide learning outcome la I have demonstrated with this artifact are mastering skills needed in career and college, because as a future teacher I will need to know some history and this class is preparing me college when I do take another history class. Overall the most important things I have learned in this class this year are taking notes because you never know when you are going to need it for a quiz.
E2020- U.S. Government
ROL on Government
In the class of U.S. Government the learning objectives are to go on online to e2020 to complete the course section Mr. Tennet has given us.During this 2 unit section we have an online teacher that teaches us various subjects such as State Government Policy and The Courts and Their Judges. As we listen to the lessons we have to take notes on paper or online on Google Docs. When we took our tests we would use or notes to help us pass or quizzes and unit tests. The process we went through to finish the course was the same throughout we would listen to to lesson, take notes on the lesson and then take the quiz. What I learned from the class was to take extra notes because you never know if you are going to need it for the quiz. Two SLO's I demonstrated for this class was being a self directed learner who communicates effectively, because I would work alone for most of the class but whenever I needed help I would ask for help from the class and they would either tell me or let me review their notes which was very helpful. Another SLO I demonstrated was applying technological skills for the 21st century because this whole class was online if I didn't know a word or wanted more clarification on something I would look it up online. The skills I learned in this class was to not get behind on the work because its harder to catch up than just doing it and getting it done soon.
