ROL: During the class of Video Production 2, the learning objective were learn how to handle a camera and know the different types of camera shots, also to demonstrate the knowledge of using adobe premiere pro. This is valuable to my future because I will be able to use adobe and make videos if I ever need it. The project that I'm submitting for the class of Video Production 2,had the following learning objectives, we had to film and edit our own version of the scene, these link back to the learning objectives because we had to demonstrate our skills in both adobe and a camera skills. The project was about recreating a scene from the Zoot Suit movie, and required me to film the group of people and take it to adobe premiere pro and edit it.The process I went through was as a group we decided on the scene we wanted to act and film. Once we got through that we practiced how the camera were going to be set up and how the actors were going to be placed and how they were going to move around. Once they had it memorized we moved on to recording, we had help from actor Adrian. I took us about a day to complete filming. Once we had the footage we edited on adobe premiere making sure me made it flow throughly without sharp cuts, and making sure it had continuity. Throughout this process listed above I have realized that I have to make multiple takes because sometimes I think I got the take but then you see something that shouldn’t have happened, so it’s good to retake shots, and try them from different angles. This tells me the following about myself and how I learn from what I do.These link back to the course goals with the following evidence of demonstrating I know how to work premiere pro and the camera. The Two School Wide Learning Outcomes I demonstrated with this Artifact are applying technological skills for the 21st century and being a self directed learner who communicates effectively. I have demonstrated applying technological skills for the 21st century in the artifact by demonstrating that I used premiere pro to create a video on the project. This is important because I pushed my self to make the video the best I could, and by knowing how to do that I can later on in life make videos if ever need it. The Second SLO I demonstrated was being a self directed learner who communicates effectively, because when I was behind the camera and recording I would tell Richards and Adrian if a shot wasn’t good and how it could be better and is important because if I wouldn’t have said anything and just kept recording the final product wouldn’t have been good. Overall the the most important things I have learned in this class this year were editing skills. These skills I have learned in this class will be help for the rest of the school year if I need to make a video again.
PSA: SAVE WATER
FILM REEL 2018
ROL: During the class of Video Production 2, the learning objective were learn how to handle a camera and know the different types of camera shots, also to demonstrate the knowledge of using adobe premiere pro. The project that I am submitting as an artifact for video production 2 had the following learning objectives: to create a high quality video using a camera and adobe premiere pro, these link back to the course learning objectives mastering our skills on premiere pro and on camera. The project was about creating a short 20 second psa video on conserving water. And required me and my group to work together to come up with an idea to film. The Process I went through to do this project and meet the learning objectives first started with my group and I creating an idea that would be simple and short to film, then we had to get our idea critiqued by our peers to gather ideas to improve our video. Once we had our idea we went out to film it. It took us a while to finish it.Throughout this process listed above I have realized I have learned to plan our ideas throughly and get ideas from our classmates to improve our project..These link back to the course goals and project goals with the following evidence of creating a short commercial as a group. This tells me the following about myself and how I learn by doing hands on projects. The Two School Wide Learning Outcomes I demonstrated with this Artifact are applying technological skills for the 21st century and thinking critically and creatively. I have demonstrated thinking critically and creatively in the artifact by demonstrating that we planned and came up with ideas on how we would record the video. This is important because later on we can plan ahead and not waste time on something that is not good. The Second SLO I demonstrated was applying technological skills for the 21st century by recording and editing on premiere pro and is important because I know the basics of premiere pro and later on improve on them by practicing and gaining knowledge on how to improve. Overall the the most important things I have learned in this class this year are to not wait last minute to edit a video because in the end your final result will not look good because you rushed through it.
